Waddington Solar

Waddington Solar (Waddington III PV, LLC) is a 3.00-megawatt (MW) solar photovoltaic (PV) array system proposed to be located  at 2800 State Highway 345 in the Town of Waddington, New York. The Project is proposed on an approximately 102.30-acre parcel, with an approximately 23.21-acre project area/limit of disturbance.

The facility will consist of ground-mounted solar PV modules installed on single-axis tracking racking, together with inverters, transformer equipment, underground electrical collection lines, perimeter wildlife-friendly fencing, vegetative screening, and a 16-foot-wide permeable access road. The Project is classified as a Major Solar Collection System under the Town of Waddington Development Code and requires Special Use Permit and Site Plan Review.

‍The Project has completed a National Grid Coordinated Electric System Interconnect Review (CESIR), which determined that the proposed interconnection is feasible at a maximum output of 3,000 kW/kVA. The Project will interconnect to National Grid's 13.2-kV distribution system via Feeder 95756, served by the Brady Substation. The Point of Interconnection is approximately 1.55 miles from the Brady Substation. The facility will interconnect to National Grid's distribution system, not the 115-kV transmission system.
